Social Media Manager

 

Canvaas is looking for a talented social media manager capable of coordinating engaging content for multiple client-partners. You will be responsible for creating original text, strategizing, developing content, managing posts and responding to followers. You will use an established platform to manage multiple company images in a cohesive way to achieve their respective marketing goals. As a Social media manager, we expect you to be up-to-date with the latest digital technologies and social media trends. You should have excellent communication skills and be able to express both our and our client-partner company’s views creatively. Ultimately, you should be able to handle a social media presence ensuring high levels of web traffic and customer engagement.

This position is based in Columbus, Ohio.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent copy-writing and communication skills

  • Proven work experience as a Social media manager

  • Hands on experience in content management

  • Knowledge of online marketing channels

  • Analytical and multitasking skills

  • Solid knowledge of SEO, keyword research and Google Analytics

  • Maintain a professional appearance and attitude in a unique service environment

  • Proven track record of meeting and exceeding targets

  • Working knowledge of social media management platforms (e.g. Hootsuite)

  • Ability to deliver creative content (text, image and video)

  • A customer-oriented attitude

  • Proven excellent client service and organizational skills; strong communication skills — both oral and written

  • Exceptional attention to the details and good troubleshooting skills

  • Must be available to work early mornings, evenings, and occasional weekends – and/or from home

  • One-year experience in the social media management industry is a plus

  • Problem-solving aptitude

  • Ability to work well with a team

  • BSc/BA in Business Administration, Marketing or a related field is a plus

 

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Manage multiple social media accounts for multiple client-partners

  • Perform research on current benchmark trends and audience preferences

  • Design and implement social media strategy to align with business goals

  • Set specific objectives and report on ROI

  • Generate, edit, publish and share engaging content daily (e.g. original text, photos, videos and news)

  • Monitor SEO and web traffic metrics

  • Collaborate with other teams, like marketing, sales and customer service to ensure brand consistency

  • Communicate with followers, respond to queries in a timely manner and monitor customer reviews

  • Oversee social media accounts’ design (e.g. Facebook timeline cover, profile pictures and blog layout)

  • Suggest and implement new features to develop brand awareness, like promotions and competitions

  • Stay up-to-date with current technologies and trends in social media, design tools and applications
